APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #0517 FOR METAL ROOF INSTALLATION AND REPAIR SERVICES
Description
Bids to provide 'Metal Roof Installation and Repair Services' were received from 10 vendors on August 4, 2009. The bids of Consumer Roofing Industries, Inc., and Crowther Roofing as primary vendors and Murton Roofing Corporation and Gulfstates Industries, Inc., as secondary vendors were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department.
Recommendation
That the bids of Consumer Roofing Industries, Inc., and Crowther Roofing as primary vendors and Murton Roofing Corporation and Gulfstates Industries, Inc., as secondary vendors, to provide 'Metal Roof Installation and Repair Services' in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
